The Yellow jacket scooter club is going to meet in Pocatello at the ISU parking lot, first exit off the freeway on 5th street across from Taco Bell, at 4:00 they will ride the old hwy to Lava Hot Springs and re-meet everyone in Lava. Anyone that want to join the Yellow Jackets for the ride are more then welcome, it is about a 33-mile ride one way. There will be a BBQ that night at about 5:00. After the BBQ there will be a short 20 mile ride for those that are interested in it. After that the night is yours. There are local ice cream shops, bars around not to mention Lava?amous hot pools and scenery. September 16th There will be a light breakfast in the morning, (muffins, juice, etc.). At 10:00 we will leave for the days ride. We will take a scenic ride through Idaho's farmlands and mountain ranges to Pocatello. We will stop in Pocatello at Goody's (pizza, sandwich, and bar) to get something to eat and rest our saddle sores, laugh at each others sunburns, etc. After gassing up, grabbing what supplies we need and seeing what there is of Pocatello, we will make our way back to Lava. Once back in Lava we might tube the Portneuf river (runs though Lava Hot Springs). If it is warm enough it can be a blast. We can also hit the hot pools. Around 8:00 there will be a raffle at the campsite where prizes will be given to the lucky. September 17th Sunday will be played by ear. If anyone wants to go on a ride we can. Pretty much we will just do what ever comes up and then help one another pack there stuff up so they can make their way home. |
